It is through political advocacy that the voices of Nova Scotia nurses are heard. On behalf of its members, the NSNU campaigns for increased patient safety, fair and equitable working conditions in healthcare settings and the continuance of publicly funded, high-quality health care for all Canadians. 

The NSNU advocates for positive change in our publicly funded, publicly delivered health care system, safety of patients, and rights and benefits of our members. The NSNU ensures that elected representatives are held accountable to the public’s best interest.
