This Week, we celebrate Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) Week from May 21st to 27th. Each year, VON Week provides us with an opportunity to emphasize the importance of community care nurses and offer our appreciation for all that they do. 

Proudly representing VON across Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Nurses' Union celebrates our nurses in community care for their compassion, courage and care. They brave wintery roads, the solitude of home-care nursing, and other challenges that come with the job. Happy VON Week. 

VON has chosen a theme that reflects the invaluable difference that community nurses make in our overall health care system. Together We Are Making a Difference.

Victorian Order of Nurses has been an important service to Canadian Communities since 1897. As an organization, VON's incredible staff (nurses, personal support workers, therapists and other health-care providers) and volunteers provide innovative clinical, personal and social supports to clients in their homes and in communities across Nova Scotia and Ontario.
