Member Orientation

We are pleased to welcome new or returning members to the Nova Scotia Nurses’ Union.

As a new member of the NSNU, you join 8000 other members (licensed practical nurses, registered nurses and nurse practitioners) working in acute care, long term care and community care across the province.

Your membership entitles you to receive newsletters, communiques, discounts from various vendors, and have access to NSNU communications channels, educational opportunities and events.

Members require login credentials to access content on the MyNSNU App and the Members Only portal of this website. In order for us to provide you with your official membership card and credentials, we’ll need to hear from you. Staff will add you to our database so you’ll receive correspondence on bargaining, events, deadlines and news that’s of interest to nurses.

It is important for the NSNU to have the most current information possible regarding membership. Collecting contact information and employment information enables us to reach members with relevant memos, information on tentative agreements, newsletters and other items of interest.

New members and current members who wish to provide updates to their contact or employment information, are asked to fill out the form below.
